Sorry for asking so many questions but this is the place to learn. I am leaning toward the 2210 JD w/ FEL. Are the hydraulics strong enough for the 210 loader? Do the tires hold up to punctures? Is the ground clearance enough? Are the individual brakes missed? Thanks, trailmaker

Guess that all depends on how much you want to do an your 115 acers.Doc could tell you more about the machine beings he has one. I'm surely not downing the machine but it seems a little small for working over a 115 acer piece.As far as that goes I don;t think my 790 would be a good pic either.depending on what type of tires you get , Ags are probley more punture resistent then turfs, R4's are probley the best as far as being punture proof.AS far as clearance goes that most likely depends on the lay of your land. having larger tires help's. ....

Individual brakes are not a issue on a machine this size. Ground clearance is totally subjective, as someone one pointed out to me even though the front tires are smaller on a 2210 the ground clearance is virtually the same to much larger models. ALL cut's tires are subject to puntures. There will be no gain at all on a 2210 with Turfs or bars as they are BOTH 4 ply tires which certainly does have its draw backs. The question in regards to acerage is also subjective as I assume you are not tilling or mowing 100+ acres. I have 160 and I am pleased with mine for what it cost. It is VITAL to remember when looking at a 2210 that you are looking at a very large lawn and garden tractor verses a VERY small utility tractor like the 4115. Hydraulics are nothing short of amazeing for a machine this size. ....

I have found the loader to lift every bit of what the specs. say it can do. I have been digging and moving alot of dirt around my lot, and am impressed. I don't know what your going over, but gount clearance without the deck is about one foot, baybe a bit more. A great tractor for the size and money in my opinion. ....

Agree that the FEL can lift as advertised, but make sure you watch your center of gravity, since that little tractor can get real tipsy real quick. If the terrain can support it, it's best to keep an implement on the 3-pt hitch.
My only complaint is that the tractor itself is too light to put any real force behind the FEL. I can scrape up a bucket of plain dirt easily enough, but have a heckuva time cutting into grassy soil, even with the big shredder on the hitch. Is there anything else I can do to add more weight or cutting power to the FEL? I guess front wheel weight would help. What about some kind of teeth for the front edge of the bucket? ....

FEL's are not really meant for that type of digging. You can add teeth the the bucket lip and that has been reported to help.
Tap into the tractor point search feature and look for "toothbar" ....

I was pretty suprised at what mine would dig into. I dug into clay soil this spring for a landscapeing project. I guess its a matter of expectations. I am still compareing to a shovel and wheelbarrow. lol. Mark is right though, even with proper ballast it is easy to put this baby on three wheels. The FEL has surpassed my expectations on this machine and I have to remember to be cautious as it will easily do lift a lot of weight. ....
